Family Day At Samfa: Sound Into Color

The event takes place from 10 AM to 2 PM in the Education Studio, located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in downtown San Angelo. This month’s theme is Sound into Color! Families will investigate how music can translate into movement, color, texture, and feeling. Hands-on stations include: - music painting - rhythm drawing - album cover art - instrument sculpture building Guests are invited to visit the Concho Clay Studio throughout the day for free drop-in clay activities. No registration is required. Additional offerings: - a free children’s book giveaway in SAMFA’s Grand Hall, generously provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors - light refreshments available while supplies last - activities subject to change; surprise activities may be added during the day Family Day is free and open to the public. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is supported by contributions from individuals and businesses.
