Family Day At Samfa: October In The Open Air

The event runs 10 AM to 2 PM in the Education Studio located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in downtown San Angelo. This month’s theme is October in the Open Air! Planned activities include: - Family mini paint-out exploring en plein air techniques - Cardboard viewfinders for composing outdoor scenes - “Friendly forest creatures”: add printed animals to landscape images - Nature texture rubbings - Practice drawing fog - Pumpkin perspective drawing - Free drop-in clay activities in the Concho Clay Studio No registration is required. Guests may also visit a free children’s book giveaway in SAMFA’s Grand Hall, with books provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Activities are subject to change and additional surprise offerings may appear during the day. Family Day is free and open to the public. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The museum receives support from generous individuals and businesses.
